It's a very good picture. It looks like the picture of a young man who takes himself very seriously as an aesthete, but whose looks may have the upper hand over his talent. However, I don't know who Rufus Wainwright is. But I still think that it's a very good painting.

Thanks! Rufus Wainwright is very beautiful, *swoon*, but he is also a very talented musician. He is the son of folk musicians Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle (of The McGarrigle Sisters), and his sister Martha is also very good (must be some amazing genes in that family;)).

wow! i love this! it all works together so brilliantly, the colors on the face and hand, his clothes, the cigarette...he looks very intensely artistic. its interesting to think of this in comparison to the other one you just submitted to the club...this one feels more like "behind the scenes" rufus whereas the other seemed very much rufus when he's tidied up for a special performance. hehe great work :)
